Colorado

Dear Congressman Brown:

Jim Park
Kersey, Colorado

At its October 28, 1985, meeting the South Platte Basin
Water Coalition discussed HR 35~7, the Bill to designate
certain segments of the Cache la Poudre River as components
of the National Wild and Scenic River System. The Coalition
endorsed this compromise and went on record in support of
this bill as written. The Coalition also would like it
known that they would be opposed to any substantive
amendments to the Bill as introduced. We feel that this
compromise is in the best interests of both those who want
to preserve the Poudre's aesthetic quality and those who
would like to develop its water resources for future
generations.

Vernon Peppler
Longmon!. We would
appreciate it if this letter could be introduced into the
hearing record on behalf of the South Platte Basin Water
Coalition.

Elmer Stroh
Greeley, Colorado

Robert Walker
Wiggins, Colorado

>Z G>~
.~ ?f~t
~.It, /"
'. uu.,c r;, -1 <I-'-L f)..
-.
