M;Jr, <br />Lindseth, where would you like to start? <br /> <br />Lindseth: Perhaps it would be best to begin our discussion by briefly <br />deseribing the power plants we have in operation and those whi~h are either <br />planned or proposed for the Colorado-Big Thompson Projellit. Right now. the <br />Gree.n Mountain plant is the only one in operation. This plant, located on the <br />Bltte a~\re.I'. approximately 15 milessouthElast of Kren:unl.ing. has an mstall~ <br />generatmg .~apaeity of 21,600 kilowatts and haa produced about 280 million <br />kilowatt-hourssJ.nee it was placed in operation in 1943. <br /> <br />. <br />, <br />. <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />Now undeI' eonstrueUOll. in the Estes Park area are tw.o addiUonal <br />power plants - Marys Lake,apP:I'oximately t;wo miles south of the village of <br />E.stes Bark will have an installed eapa.city of 8,.100 kilowatts, and the Estes <br />PoweI' plant immediately east of the junction of the two main highways entering <br />the village will have an mstaJ,led capacity Qf 45,000 kilowa.tts.
