<br />001224 <br /> <br />(a) Full Water Supply - Agricultural Use - A full water supply <br />is that quantity and quality of irrigation water at the <br />farm headgate necessary to meet crop consumptive uses and <br />soil leaching requirements plus reasonable farm losses. <br />Such supply will vary from year to year and throughout each <br />year as influenced by climatic conditions, type of crop, <br />soil and topography. The supply,when converted to headgate <br />diversion requirement~ must include reasonable canal or <br />lateral transportation losses (and storage losses where <br />applicable) between .the point of diversion and the farm <br />headgate. <br />(b) Full Water Supply - Municipal - A full water supply for a <br />municipal distribution system is that quantity and quality <br />of water necessary to supply all requirements of'customers <br />of the system. The supply will vary from year to year and <br />throughout each year as influenced by population, cl imate <br />and other factors. Temporary storage of treated and/or <br />raw water is desirable and necessary to protect the public <br />health and welfare. Such a supply, when converted to head- <br />gate requirements, must include reasonable allowances <br />for wash water, transmission and storage losses. Municipal <br />water is that water required for household use; irrigation <br />of lawns, gardens, trees and shrubs; public and government <br />use; industrial and manufacturing; fire protection; <br />sanitation and any other beneficial use associated with a <br />municipality. Municipalities may provide for future growth <br />by the planned development of unappropriated waters and/or <br />acquisition of existing water rights. <br />(c) Full ~ Supply - Industrial - That quantity and quality <br />of water necessary to meet the requirements of industrial <br />and manufacturing processes. The quality and quantity are <br />variable, according to the type of industry, water avail.. <br />ability and economics of development.
