15

H. C. Clare

I want you to know that we feel in the

Missouri Basin that the South Platte is a very important

part .of the Basin, and I know that you people in Colorado

really realize it is a very important part of Colorado.

It is my personal opinion that when Governor

Love asked that this work be done on the South Platte

Basin, he knew, or at least sensed, the public opinion or

the public support that is being given to our program and

your program in the State, I am sure, for clean waters --

that is, keeping clean waters clean and making foul waters

cleaner.

I don't think there is anything more that I need

to say in the way of an introductory statement.

There are representatives here of Federal

agencies whom I should like to introduce.

Mr. James Crooks is here, of our headquarters

office, Comprehensive Programs Branch.

Jim, do you want to stand up so that they will

know where you are?
The next one, I am sure, does not need an intro-

duction to many of you. Garry Fisk is Deputy Regional

Director for the Missouri Basin Region, and we are glad to

have Garry in our Kansas City headquarters office.

Carl Blomgren is here also from the Missouri
