Saunders, Chairman SUBJECT: Executive Subcommittee Meeting, September 14, 1983 The Executive Subcommittee met at 1:30 p.m. September 14 at the Salt Lake Hilton in Salt Lake City, Utah. An agenda and attendance list are attached. Tour of River Forecast Center Prior to the meeting, members of the Subcommittee and others took a tour of the National Weather Service Colorado Basin River Forecast Center at 337 North 2370 West, Salt Lake City. Dr. Gerald Williams, Hydrologist-in-Charge and member of the PSIAC Water and Vegetation Management Committee hosted the group. Dr. Williams and Don Laurine gave a short presentation on the organization and activities of the River Forecast Center, with particular attention to the Colorado River Forecasting Service, an interagency group with members from the Bureau of Reclamation, Corps of Engineers, Western Area Power Administration, Soil Conservation, Geological Service, and National Weather Service. Mr. laurine then demonstrated the information handling and recording equipment used at the Center. Approval of 82-1 Minutes The minutes of the 82-1 meeting of the Executive SubCOmmittee were approved as they appeared in the 82-1 packet. Subcommittee Reports Bob Erwin, Chairman of the Water and Vegetation Management Technical Subcommittee reported on his committee meeting held in the morning (September 14). No other meetings of this committee had been held during FY 1983, and no formal work plan was submitted to the Executive Subcommittee.
