Of that amount, $3,000 <br />would go toward development of the base map and the remainder to customize the graphic <br />for Recovery Program use. An alillual budget is required to update the map, <br /> <br />ONGOING PROJECTS NEEDING REVISION <br /> <br />PIP 12K TRIBUT ARIES $4,000/$4,000 <br />The Recovery Program is developing management plans / consultation processes for <br />significant tributaries of the Upper Colorado River Basin, The Yampa and Gunnison' <br />rivers are of primary focus in FY 0410S, <br /> <br />PIP 12L NONNATIVE FISH MANAGEMENT $S,OOO / $S,OOO <br />The Recovery Program is expanding its efforts to minimize the adverse effects certain <br />species of nonnative tish have on the endangered fishes, As work includes removal of <br />popular sporttish species in more publicly visible sections of the Colorado River and its <br />tributaries, public involvement issues will also increase, A comprehensive strategic <br />communications plan was prepared in FY 02 and will be implemented in FY 03 and <br />beyond to ensure that accurate, timely messages are delivered to target audiences, <br /> <br />PLACEHOLDERS <br /> <br />PIP 12E FLOODPLAIN RESTORATION (Funds within C-6) <br />This work addresses public involvement related to habitat restoration along the Colorado <br />mainstem and its tributaries, Activities include, but are not limited to, one-on-one <br />meetings with affected landowners, involving potentially affected interests in decision- <br />making processes, infomling the public through news releases., distribution of literature <br />and public meetings as appropriate, <br /> <br />PIP 12C COORDINATED RESERVOIR OPERATIONS $0 I $43,800 <br />This work addresses public involvement related to coordinated operation of reservoirs in <br />the upper reaches of the Colorado River to increase spring peak flows in the'IS-Mile <br />Reach of the Colorado River. Activities include, but are not limited to, infonning the <br />public through news releases and direct mailings as necessary of any decisions to adjust <br />reservoir operations and bypasses made to enhance flows for endangered fish purposes, <br />Due to the drought, there will likely not be enough water in reservoirs in 2004 to <br />coordinate operations.
