Hall: <br /> <br />The subject draft enviroru~ental i~9act statement contains an <br />expansive historical and archaeological resource section for <br />which your agency is to be con~ended. <br /> <br />On page VI-5, you state that seventy archaeological eites a~d <br />one historic site will be adversely a~fccted by the construc- <br />tion phase of the project. On Bureau lands t..renty-t;lreo ar- <br />chaeological and 1:;010 historic sites belm" the upper elevation <br />at the joint-use pool will be adversely affected and a possi- <br />bility that an additional eighty-five archaeological and four <br />historic sites will ultLuately be affected as well. The af- <br />fected sites should have been identified specifically so that <br />further action can be taken pronptly. <br /> <br />l'le are enclosing a list:. of some of the historic sites in \Clcld <br />and Morgan counties which appear to be affected post likely by <br />this project. This list includes sites indicated in your sur- <br />vey, t.lJe inventory in Appendix J, and sites which have been or <br />are gradually being added to the state Inventory.
