There is a plan in which this supply could <br /> <br /> <br />be obtained from Beaver Creek. The plan would incorporate the following. <br /> <br /> <br />(1) The construction of a storage reservoir on Beaver Creek, be- <br /> <br /> <br />law the junction of East and West Beever. The reservoir would be built to <br /> <br /> <br />regulate the flow of 13,000 acre-feet. This wou ld require the enlargement, <br /> <br /> <br />also, of the Skagway Dam on West Beaver Creek. <br /> <br /> <br />(2) The building of a pipe line to Colorado Springs with a poss- <br /> <br /> <br />ible storage reservoir in the Colorado Springs area.. <br /> <br /> <br />(3) The extension of the State Ditoh at Canon City to furnish wa- <br /> <br /> <br />ter to the Penrose area to replace the supply being obtained from Beaver <br /> <br /> <br />Creek. <br /> <br />(4) The enlargement of Brush Hollow Reservoir with a pump line <br /> <br /> <br />to irrigate the lligher lands in the area. <br /> <br /> <br />The dam for municipal water supply and the pipe line would be the <br /> <br /> <br />city's responsibility. <br /> <br /> <br />Pusblo <br /> <br />Of the towns in the valley, Pueblo is affected most by the trans- <br />mourtain diversion. The future water requirements for Pueblo could be either <br />supplemented or furnished entirely from the transmountain diversion. <br />The major features of a future system utilizing storage in the <br />Sugar Loaf Reservoir are as follows. <br /> <br /> <br />(1) The diversion of water from East Fork and Tennessee Forks of <br /> <br /> <br />the Arkansas River. The water would be intercepted at elevation 9,915 and <br />
