For example, volume frC?m the Dolores Ranger District
01\ the San Juan National Forest is DOt reflected in this, or other timbershed, charts. The leIl year average
shows that the Rio Grande forest has been the major supplier to its timbershed, averaging S8 percent of the
timbershed volume. This is followed by the Gunnison and San Juan with equal shares of 19 percent each.
The Pike-San Isabel has been a minor (4%) supplier. The following pie chart illustrates sawtimber supply
by forest over the last three years to show how the supply pattern has recently shifted from forest to forest.

,
I,

Pn>por1lon olllWll_ ~od by EKh Forut 11\ tho lImbo..hod ('1....1
-VI)

1-

17"

--
......
o ...,..;
.-

, ~.

Comparison of these two charts shows that the recent supply average is similar to the 10 year average.
This indicates. remarkably stable supply pattern over time and in the National Forest composition of
supply.

STRUCTURE OF THE SUPPLY PROGRAM

The volume SlI'\Ictufe of the Rio Grande supply program is viewed by species, number of sales sold per
year; sale length, and volume per sale.
