Usually
roosts in caves, mine shafts, rock outcrops. lava tubes. and occasionally in buildings, This species is a late-evening flyer.
Feeds mainly on small moths high in the forest canopy, but occasionally gleans insects from leaves. These bats roost
near entrances to mines and caves used for hibernating: caves with high humidity and cool temperatures preferred
with numerous crevices. This species usually roost on the more open surfaces where they are more susceptible to
disturbance, Tree cavities may occasionally be used for daytime roosting, Disturbance by humans especially in
hibemacula and maternity roosts can be a threat to survival of these animals (Barbour and Davis 1969).

No known slghtings from the For~st. However, they have been spotted at the Orient Mine and the Sand Dunes,

LITERA TURE CITED

The following publications were reviewed and incorporated into the species writeups.
