Included are $50,200 annual operation, maintenance, and <br />replacement costs and $155,300 amortized capital costs. Total annual <br />benefits of $583,900 include $489,400 for irrigation, $33,000 for fish <br />and wildlife, $33,000 for recreation and $28,500 for area redevelop- <br />ment. The benefit-cost ratio is 2.84 for a 100-year period of analysis. <br /> <br />Expansion of the farming enterprise that would develop frClll <br />assurance of a dependable water supply would increase agricultural <br />income and economy of the area. Improved economy would also emanate <br />from a shift from a livestock enterprise in the farming operations in <br />New Mexico to a high cash crop enterprise similar to that now carried <br />on in Colorado.
