Since then, reconnaissance was extended, at the <br /> <br />suggestion of the State of Kansas, to include other areas for <br /> <br />possible storage sites, irrigation, ground water recharge, and <br /> <br />municipal-industrial water supplies. The investigations were <br /> <br />limited to consideration of physical features, costs and benefits <br /> <br />were not computed. Consequently, evaluation of the various poten- <br /> <br />tialities is empirical based upon judgment and readily available <br /> <br />engineering and hydrologic data and a brief field inspection of <br /> <br />the area. <br />
