Colorado squawfish sport fishery--100,OOO juv/yr
(1990-96)

Table 2 gives an overview of CP fish production needed from 1983 through
1996. Except for fry production, 1985 through 1988, fingerlings 2-3 inches
in length make up all the anticipated fish hatchery production, which ranges from
182,000 fingerlings in 19?3 to 500,000 in 1990 to 1992. Most of this
production will be Colorado squawfish (50% or 250,000 yoy/yr). Humpback chub
produced in 1988-92 will comprise about 25% or 125,000 yoy/yr, which is close
to the 140,OOO/yr called for irr the Humpback Recovery Plan. An equal
number of bony tail chub (125,000 yoy/yr) will be needed in 1990 through
1994, according to the CPo This is also close to the 100,000 called for
ln the new Bony tail Recovery Plan.

6
