For the proposed <br />reservoirs , it is assumed that releases are made to meet <br />downstream demands and the relea,ses can be credited as a <br />part.of the instream flow requirements. <br /> <br />The model was. initially applied to historic conditions using the <br />appropriate operation rul.es for calibration and validation <br />purposes. The basic input data used were virgin flows (historic <br />flows adjusted for diversions and reservoirs) and estimated or, <br />recorded diversion data discussed in Section 4.0. The recorded and <br />simulated flows at several locations or the Colorado River. were <br />compared. They are ,presented in Table 5.3. The historic and. <br />simulated reserVoir contents for Green Mountain Reservoir were also <br />compared. They are shown in Figure 5. 1.
