PLATTE RIVER STUDY

Environmental Assessment Data

A. Objectives/Goals

1. Provide balance in recognizing the environmental values that

exist throughout the Upper Platte River Basin.
2. Identify fish and wildlife species and habitat areas of

importance in the Upper Platte River Basin.

3. Identify threatened and endangered species.

4. Identify present management areas and types of activitives.

5, Identify potential additional fish and wildlife management

'opportunities and types of management activities.

6. Identify sugnificant environmental implications associated with

potential plans for development.

B. Implementation

1. Literature Survey - Historical

a. Survey of published information on vegetation and wildlife

from State agencies, universities, localities, etc.

b. Survey of established wil dl He areas, e.g., waterfowl

management areas, refuges, wintering areas, any area where

wildlife are known to concentrate (State, Federal local level).
