<br />r, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />IV. CONSULTATION <br /> <br />A. General <br /> <br />Consultation and environmental studies utilized in development <br />of the Dallas Creek Project are summarized in the FES. Environmental studies <br />are continuing during construction of the project. MESA Corporation and <br />its subcontractor, the University of Southern Colorado, are conducting the <br />"Old Dallas Archeological Project" designed to mitigate adverse impacts <br />on cultural resources. Monitoring of water quality parameters is continuing <br />in cooperation with the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Colorado <br />Division of wildlife has been contracted to monitor fisheries and wildlife <br />resources affected by the project. <br /> <br />The hydroelectric power proposal has been discussed with the following <br />agencies or organizations: Tri-County Water Conservancy District, Western <br />Area Power Administration, San Miguel Power Association, Colorado Division <br />of Wildlife, and the Colorado Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation. <br />Design changes have been discussed with the Environmental Protection Agency, <br />the Fish and wildlife Service, and the Colorado Division of wildlife. The <br />following persons were involved in preparation of the assessment: Patrick <br />Koelsch, Fishery Biologist; Steve McCall, Wildlife Biologist; Peggy Barnett, <br />Archeologist; Larry Kysar, Civil Engineer; James White, Technical Publications <br />Writer; Paul Arpke, Sociologist; Richard Pond, Economist; and Thomas Lauer, <br />Coll Stanton, and Jerry Miller, Hydrologists. <br /> <br />B.
