<br />Colorado River indicate that sufficient bloaccumulation of selenium is occurring in the clams to present a
<br />possible threat to higher trophic organisms (1).

<br />Due to th,ese concerns, we recommend that the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum take efforts
<br />to address selenium as part of its overall salinity reduction efforts. Specifically, we recommend that the
<br />member agencies of the Salinity Control Forum take efforts to identify the sources of selenium in the
<br />Colorado River Basin, determine which sources of selenium are controllable, and take action to address
<br />these controllable sources.
