Water Supply <br /> <br />The historical record of annual discharges of the White River near Watson <br /> <br /> <br />(USGS stream gage located about seven (7) miles upstream of the damsite) averages <br /> <br /> <br />503,000 acre-feet for the 1924 to 1978 period. (See figure 3.) Some 42 percent <br /> <br /> <br />of the annual runoff usually occurs during the months of May and June each year as <br /> <br /> <br />shown by figure 4. <br /> <br />III. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT <br /> <br />A wealth of environmental data has been assembled for the adjacent oil <br /> <br /> <br />shale tracts Ua and Ub. White River Dam and Reservoir site borders, overlaps <br /> <br /> <br />and/or is adjacent to the north boundary of the tracts. Environmental baseline <br /> <br /> <br />data collected for the tracts began in June 1974 with the formation of the <br /> <br /> <br />White River Shale Project and these data are still being collected. The results <br /> <br /> <br />of the studies conducted over the past 5~ years by various firms and goverment <br /> <br /> <br />agencies are found in the following publications: <br /> <br />1.
