<br />in accordance with Article VIII E (I), the amount of such budget
<br />payable by the State of Colorado is sixty percent thereof, or
<br />$3,294.00, and the amount payable by the State of Kansas is forty
<br />percent thereof, or $2,196,00,

<br />(g) Pursuant to Provisions of the Compacl (Article VIll-E (3)) and
<br />of the By-Laws of the Administration (Article vn (5) ), the re..
<br />ceipts and disbursements of the Administration have been audited
<br />for the period commencing November 1, 1966 through October
<br />31, 1967 the end of the Report..year. The report of such audit is
<br />hereto attached as Appendix "A."
<br />
<br />6. Cooperative Studies and Activities
<br />
<br />(aJ Article VilI G (I) of the Arkansas River Compact requires the
<br />Administration to cooperate with the Chief Official of each of the
<br />States of Colorado and Kansas charged with the administration of
<br />water rights in their respective States, and with the Federal
<br />agencies in systematically determining and correlating the facts
<br />pertaining to the flow and diversion of the waters of the Arkansas
<br />River and to the operation and siltation of John Martin Reservoir
<br />and other related structures. Article VlIl G (2) requests the Di-
<br />rector of the United States Geological Survey I the Commissioner
<br />of the United States Bureau of Reclamation, and the Chief of
<br />Engineers, United States Army, to cooperate and collaborate with
<br />the Administration and with app:opriate State officials in such d13-
<br />terminations and correlations of streamflow and related data. Un-
<br />der the By-laws of the A~millistration, these cooperative studies
<br />and activities are assigned to the Engineering Committee of the
<br />Administration.
