Wild-

life will depart from the area and it will

be bare of vegetation until it is restored

by the reclamation operations.

At any ~iven time during mining operations,
about 260 acres will' be under operations as

open-pit area and spoil-pile area, approxi-

mately 250 acres will be needed for haul

roads, and 145 acres for industrial site.
In addition to these 655 acres, some

of the reclaimed lands may have to be

protected with fencing until the vegeta-

tion is sufficjently established to with-

stand the stress caused by browsing.
