<br />lGGS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The water users below Pueblo Dam have reached an agreement for a Winter <br />Water Storage Program beginning November 15, 1985. Under this agreement <br />the total system produetion up to 100,000 acre-feet wi 11 be divided <br />30 percent to entities with direct-flow water rights and 70 percent to <br />entities having storage water rights and their own storage facilities. <br />The next 2,750 acre-feet will go to Amity Mutual Irrigation Company to <br />be stored in John Martin Reservoir with the next 2,250 aere-feet for the <br />Colorado Canal Company. Any water above the 105,000 acre-feet wi 11 be <br />divided 75 percent to off-channel storage entities and 25 pereent for <br />the direct-flow entities. ' , <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The water users have agreed to the storage of only 30,000 acre-feet of <br />winter water in Pueblo Reservoir this year due to the large volume of <br />carryover water in all the east slope facilities. The decision to <br />release or keep in storage all or part of the 30,000 aere-feet will be <br />made March 1, 1986, by the, water users. Any winter water in storage <br />after March 1 will be released on demand or evaeuated and rep 1 aced by <br />Project water as imports enter the east slope system. <br /> <br />All remaining winter water storage shall be released to the river if not <br />furnished to the Distriet within 18 months from the start of the winter <br />storage period but no later than May 1 of the year following the end of <br />the winter storage period in which it was stored. Any water stored in <br />the Joint-Use Pool, other than flood waters, will be released prior to <br />April 15, 1986. <br /> <br />Table 13 and exhibit 21 show the proposed operation of Pueblo Reservoir <br />in water year 1986. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />23 <br />
