The Project imported <br />73,680 acre-feet of water through the Boustead Tunnel during water year <br />1985. <br /> <br />Turquoise Lake storage was near capaciity from May throu9h September. <br />Exhibits 6 and 7 show the precipitation and pan evaporation at Turquoise <br />Lake. The water year ended with a content of 125,140 acre-fee.t in <br />storage. <br /> <br />Table 4 and exhibit 8 show the operation of Turquoise Lake during the <br />water year 1985. <br /> <br />F. Mt. Elbert Conduit/Halfmoon Creek Diversion <br /> <br />During water year 1985, 97,850 aare-feet of water were released <br />from Turquoise Lake and 13,870 acre-fee,t of water diverted at Halfmoon <br />Creek Diversion through Mt. Elbert Conduit to Mt. Elbert Forebay <br />(table 5 and exhibit 9). <br /> <br />G. Twin Lakes/Mt. Elbert Forebay and Mt. Elbert Pumped-Storage <br />Powerplant <br /> <br />On September 30, 1984, the lake su~face elevation of Twin Lakes was <br />9199.17 feet with a content 138,570 acre-feet of water. Mt. Elbert <br />Forebay water surface elevation was at 9630.11 feet with a content of <br />7,090 aere-feet. Exhibits 10 and 11 s\1<jw the precipitation and pan eva- <br />poration at Twin Lakes <br /> <br />Twi n Lakes was operated throughout the year bas i ca lly fu 11 and <br />bypassing all inflow. During late Marc~, the reservoir was drawndown in <br />preparation of being able to centrol reileases at the safe channel capa- <br />eity below Twin Lakes Dam. By the end! of May with all reservoirs vir- <br />tually full, Twin Lakes was allowed to fill into part of the reserved <br />power pool space and then drawndown to operating range by the first part <br />of July. Table 6 and exhibit 12 show Twin Lakes/Mt. Elbert Forebay <br />operation for water year 1985. <br /> <br />Mt. Elbert Pumped-Storage Powerplant had at least one unit online <br />throughout the water year. The powerplant had 111,720 acre-feet of flow <br />through water available along with 22p,600 acre-feet of water pumped <br />from Twin Lakes. The powerplant gene:rated 122,197,000 kilowatt-hours <br />during water year 1985 with 343,590 acr~-feet of water. <br /> <br />Twin Lakes/Mt. Elbert storage at the end of the water year was <br />142,060 acre-feet. Twin Lakes storage was 136,160 acre-feet and <br />Mt.
