Presidential appro'Val March 18, 1939. Owing to subsequent findings, <br />changes in the original plan were made in 1940 and 1946. The project <br />was reauthorized by the !lct of June 25, 1947 (61 Stat. 181), to give <br />effect to these changes, but the storage features of the project were <br />not constructed, The Colorado River Storage Project Act reauthor- <br />ized Paonia asa partiCipating project. <br />As a result of detailed investigations, t4e Pine River Project Exten- <br />sion was declared economically infeasible and plalis for its construc- <br />tion have been! abandoned. <br /> <br />TENTATIVE AL~OCA'1'ION OF TOTAL ESTIMATED <br />CON/?TRUCTION i COSTS TO PURPOSES <br /> <br />The total estimated construction costs of the Colorado River Storage <br />Project and partiCipating projects excluding interest duringconstruc- <br />tion is $1,003,550,000.
