Western Colorado <br /> <br />water users must have satisfactory assurance that the proposed contract <br /> <br />cannot result in new/increased future transmountain diversions through <br /> <br />the tunnel. <br /> <br />. II. The Bureau of Reclamation's Glen Canyon operating studies anticipate <br /> <br />future Busk-Ivanhoe diversions of no more than 5,000 acre feet per year. <br /> <br />II I. Increased Busk-Ivanhoe diversions will charge the alluvium of the <br /> <br />Arkansas River Basin. This water will be diverted by Junior wells and <br /> <br />will escape out of the State. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />IV. The Colorado River Water Conservation District should receive copies <br /> <br />of the daily accounting sheets if the contract is executed. <br /> <br />VI. Historically Busk-Ivanhoe diversions have averaged 4,366 acre feet <br /> <br />per year. For most years 5,000 - 5,500 acre feet have been diverted. In <br /> <br />40 of the 43 years of record. or 93% of the time. less than 6,400 acre feet <br /> <br />was diverted. In only one year of the 43 years (2% of the time) was approxi- <br /> <br />mately 6.400 acre feet diverted. <br /> <br />. ,---- - --~". . <br />
