<br />I' <br />" <br /> <br />f' "J ,...: -; ~ <br />"__ - ow '_'.~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />STUDY OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />The objectives of the Encampment National Wild and Scenic River study <br /> <br />are: <br /> <br />a. To determine the suitability or non-suitability of the Encampment <br /> <br />River for inclusion in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. <br /> <br />That portion of the River designated by Congress for study includes <br /> <br />"The Main Fork and West Fork to their confluence, thence the <br /> <br />Encampment to the Colorado-Wyoming border, including tributaries <br /> <br />and headwaters". <br /> <br />b. To prepare a set of management alternatives for the River and <br /> <br />it's immediate environment and examine the implications of each <br /> <br />alternative as it affects environmental quality and economic <br /> <br />development. <br /> <br />c. To solicit public comment concerning the suitability or <br /> <br />unsuitability of the Encampment River for inclusion in the <br /> <br />National Wild and Scenic Rivers System and the various management <br /> <br />alternatives. <br /> <br />d. To prepare a management plan for those portions of the River <br /> <br />which qualify for inclusion in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers <br />
