CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION

S.J.R. 91-27 by Senator Considine; Rep. Mc1nnls--Reapportlonment Competl,t1ve Districts

Amendment No.1. bv Senator Pascoe

Amend printed resolution, page 2, strike lines 15 through 17 and
substitute the following;

"the competitive district standard shall be secondary to the
criteria listed In the state constitution.".

A majority of all members elected to the Senate having voted In the
affirmative, the amendment was adopted.

Amendment No, 2. bv Senator Considine

Amend printed resolution, page 2, after line 1, Insert the
following:

"WHEREAS, the General Assembly fUlly acknowledges that the
criteria of the Colorado Constitution require full compliance;

WHEREAS,by competitive districts, the General Assembly
means districts where candidates of both major 'political parties
have the comparable opportunity to win; and".

A majority of all members elected to the Senate having voted In the
affirmative, the amendment was adopted.
