<br />I <br />-.1 <br /> <br />Of <br /> <br />! <br /> <br />\ <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />1 <br />I <br /> <br />Appendix "C" <br /> <br />By-Laws <br /> <br />Arkansas River Com pacl Adm inislralion <br /> <br />(As Amended November 1, 195a to October 31, 1968) <br /> <br />***"'** <br /> <br />Pream ble <br /> <br />Pursuant to Article VIll B (1) of the Arkansas River Compact, <br />these by-laws were adopted ~y the Arkansas River Compact Adminis- <br />tration on the 14th day of November, 1949, namely: <br /> <br />Arlicle I <br />The Adm inislralion <br /> <br />1. The Arkansas River Compact Administration is herein referred <br />to as lithe Administration," <br />2. Memhership of the Administration shall consist of three repre- <br />sentatives from each of the States of Colorado and Kansas, designated <br />or appointed as provided by the Arkansas River Compact and the law of <br />each of such States, and, if designated by the President, one represen- <br />tative of the United States of America. <br />3. The credentials of each such representative shall be filed with <br />the Secretary of the Administration. <br />4. Each represeotative shall advise in writing the Secretary of the <br />Administration as to his address, to which all official notices and other <br />communications of the Administration shall be sent and shall further <br />promptly advise in writing the Secretary as to any change in such <br />addre ss. <br /> <br />Arlicle II <br />Officers <br /> <br />I. The officers of the Administration shall be: <br />Chairman <br />Vice Chairman <br />Secretary <br />Treasurer <br /> <br />2. The representative of the United States of America shall be the <br />Chairman of the Administration. The Chairman shall preside at meet- <br />ings of the Administration. His duties shall be such as are usually im- <br /> <br />-34- <br />
