<br />FOREWORD <br /> <br />This study was carried out by the Colorado River Basin <br />Water Quality Control Project with the generous assistance of <br />Public Health Service personnel from other offices. Active in <br />the field conduct of the survey were: J. B. Anderson of PHS <br />Region VII, M. A. Bauer, Jr. of PHS Region VIII, M. W. Lammering <br />of R. A. Taft Sanitary Engineering Center, and P. A. Fichter of the <br />Colorado River Basin Project Laboratory. Chemical and radiological <br />analyses were performed by D. A. Clark and R. K. Jarrell of the <br />Colorado River Basin Project, and C. R. Hirth, B. Smith, and A. E. <br />McSorley of R. A. Taft Sanitary Engineering Center. The report <br />of this study was prepared by J. W. Kittrell of the Colorado River <br />Basin Project. These studies in the vicinity of uranium mills <br />have been carried out under the general supervision of Charles E. <br />Sponagle, Project Director, Colorado River Basin Project. <br />
