~,."
t)U,[\\'l\..',
~~\\ 1.,"/1 \ .,
c'-NC'O

~'~!Sq
"_, ._ \J '" .F J

. ~.,;.......~

C I

16, 1994

~.vP j
I

I ~ L:.

I am enclosing additional information on selected inflows for
which the occurrence of intermittent or average monthly zero
values were identified in the Upper Gunnison area (see Table~
in notebook previously provided).

For inflows identified for the Tomichi Ck. and Gunnison
Mainstem and Tributary areas (sections A and E of notebook),
I have tabulated long term ('52-'90) estimated yields for
these inflows and for the core stations and difference files
from which inflows were derived. This should provide a better
perspective on the relative inflow contributions.

I have also provided 2 sets of hydrographs for these inflows:

the first set plots all 39 values for a particular month,
showing the general distribution and extremes occurring for a
given month

the second set is a time series plot of monthly flows for
the 39 year period; this provides a picture of zero flow
occurrences in relation to flow patterns within and among
years.

For Taylor River inflows (Section D), I have gone through an
exercise similar to that done for East River and Ohio Ck.
inflow modifications:

long term yields for INFL33".34, 35, 36, 37A, and 37B as
obtained from initial estimates were retained; inflows were
redistributed following Taylor River at Almont core station
flow patterns; comparison summary statistics and hydrographs
of average monthly flows for initial and revised estimates are
included. Application of this distribution pattern el~minates
intermittent zero flow occurrences in INFL35, 36, 37A, and
37B.

EXDanded Network:

I am in the process of looking at some of the expanded network
inflows identified as having zero flow occurrences (Table 2 in
notebook) :

Upper North Fork: ENFL8, 9, 10, and 11 --
will look at revised flows obtained by redistribution
of flows using "Muddy Ck. at Bardine (09131500)" pattern
