<br />000788 <br /> <br />PART 1. <br /> <br />EXECUTION OF PLAN <br /> <br />J. Prior to the flood season the Emergency Preparedness <br />Coordinator will disseminate the river and dam monitoring <br />plan to the appropriate agencies for orientation. <br /> <br />2. The Sheriff's Department upon receiving flood water <br />information will evaluate and execute what steps are <br />necessary to protect the public's well-being. <br /> <br />3. The agencies respons~ble for monitoring the rivers will <br />report to the County dispatch officer at least once daily <br />with the following information: <br /> <br />2.1 - How much higher (lower) the water level is since <br />last report. <br /> <br />2.2 - Site where observations have been made. <br /> <br />2.3 - Whether debris is in the water. <br /> <br />.., <br /> <br />2.4 - Any roads or bridges which are inundated or appear <br />to be deteriorating. <br /> <br />2.5 - Other public facilities which may be threatened - <br />sewer lagoons, schools, etc. <br /> <br />2.6 - Private residences which may be threatened. <br /> <br />2.7 - Be as specific as possible - i.e.. exact road numbers <br /> <br />4. Media (newspaper, radio, television) informational <br />requests shall be referred to the Sheriff's Department. <br /> <br />5. Dispatch should contact the affected entities, the media <br />and Mesa County Dispatch as necessary. <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
