<br />000799 <br /> <br />PART 4. <br /> <br />PROCEDURE FOR ACQUIRING SANDBAGS <br /> <br />1. Sandbags have been stored by the State at the City of <br />Delta's Maintenance Shop and the County's Hotchkiss Road <br />Shop. Bags are also available in Montrose and Mesa <br />Counties. <br /> <br />2. These bags (which are green in color) may only be used to <br />protect public property. <br /> <br />3. The State requires the following procedure be followed for <br />releasing sandbags: <br /> <br />1. Call Emergency Preparedness Coordinator with <br />request - number of sandbags needed <br />location <br />public facility which needs protection <br /> <br />2. Emergency Preparedness Coordinator will call <br />D.O.D.E.S. and get approval.
