Holburt, Chief Engineer <br />Colorado River Board of California <br />Room 8103 <br />107 South Broadway <br />Los Angeles CA 90012 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Holburt: <br /> <br />Enclosed are two copies of the report, "Impacts on the Lower Colorado <br />Region Resulting From Alternative Levels of Emerging Energy Development <br />in the Upper Colorado Region," which was transmitted to the U.S. I~ater <br />Resources Council on October 25, 1979, by the Commissioner. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />The report was prepared under authority of section 13(a) of the <br />Nonnuclear Energy Act of 1974 and by Memorandum of Agreement between <br />the U.S. Water Resoures Council and the Water and Power Resources <br />Service. <br /> <br />h~ <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />This report supplements the Council's study in the Upper Colorado <br />Region which was managed by the State of Colorado and for which the <br />Water and Power Resources Service prepared the hydrologic data base <br />and river operation studies. Consequently, those hydrologic details <br />plus the derivation of the alternative futures have not been dupli- <br />cated in this report. We understand that the Council will incorporate <br />this report and the Upper Colorado Region report into one document <br />and publish it as a basin impact analysis report. <br /> <br />We appreciate the assistance you provided to the study's Department <br />of the Interior Adviser, Mr. Kenneth Kauffman, during'the final <br />preparation of this assessment report. <br /> <br />Sincerely yours, <br /> <br />!tJP~f? <br /> <br />w.
