Gate structure <br />on left side of diversion dam is for a sluiceway which allows water <br />to pass through the structure and downstream when water is not <br />being diverted into the collection system. During diversion, a <br />gated bypass picks up water for fishflows. This bypass is not <br />visible. Note trash racks on upstream face of the diversion struc- <br />ture for preventing obstruction of the diversion. <br />
