New earth ]a terals would be'

constructed as necessary and uae would be made of McKenzie and Fiaher

Creeks and other smaller natuta~ drainagewaya for water distribution.

Coats of the system were estimated from tentative designs made for a

representative area.

Draina

A project drainage program for 15,114 acres of Log Hill Mesa, the

only portion of the project ,area expected to require project drainage,

has been tentatively formulated as a basi~ for cost estimates. The

tentative plan provides for improvement of natural drainage channel a

as needed and about 6 miles of subsurface interceptor drains to ,pro~.ct

lower lying lands. The drainage structures have not been specifically

located nor designed aince drainage needs of the project cannot be

definitely determined until the irrigation water ia applied and the

exact loationa of the draiD~ge deficiencies become, apparent.
