Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery:
The hatchery is localed in a deep canyon
on Jones Hole Creok near Dinosaur Na-
lional Monument In northeaslern Ulall. In
1985, Iho hatchelY produced 223,913
pounds 01 lish.

Hotchkiss National Fish Hatchery: The
hatchery is localed on Ihe north lark of
Ihe Gunnison River near Hotchkiss, CO.
Its oulput of 121, 965 pounds of fish wonl
principally lor stocking requirements 01
Blue Mesa. Crawlord. Lemon, and Silver-
jack Reservoirs in Colorado and Navato
Reservoir in Colorado and New Mexico

One national wildlile refuge and three
waterfowl areas under Stale administra-
tion are now being developed.

Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge:
The refuge lies along Iho Green River
below Fonlenelle Darn, Wyoming, and
since 1966, has been administered by the
Fish and Wildlife Service. Development of
refuge lands is continuing during Ihe
year.

Brown's Park Waterfowl Management
Area: The area, under administration of
the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, IS
located below Flaming Gorge Reservoir
on the Green River near the Utah-Colo-
rado Stale line. The overall management
area is attracting numerous resident and
migratory game bird populations and is
increasing in public popularily as a
fishing, hunting, and bird-watching area.

Ogden Bay Waterfowl Management
Area: This area is belween the eastern
shore 01 the great Salt Lake and Willard
Bay. Tills area conSists of 3,104 acres of
sloughs and fields planted with grains and
weed seed for walerfowl food and cover.
Tradilionally bird use 01 the area is heavy.
With the rising walers of tile Great Salt
Lake, this and other areas around the
lake becomes more critical.

Desert Lake Waterfowl Management
Area: The area comprises 2,480 acres of
acquired and public domain land in east-
ern Utah near Huntington North Reser-
voir. Administered by Utah Division of
Wildlife Resources since January 1968,
the area's conlributlon to waterfowl re-
sources managemenl was significantly in-
