Description of data/research need: Evaluate the effects of given
flow/temperature regimes upon nonnative species.

2. Application of data/research: Some data e~ist that sug~ests that most
Yampa River nonnative species are suppressed during "high" nON years
(e.g.. 1983, 1984) while native species have enhanced production under the
same conditions. The validity of these data need to be tested by scrutiny
of existing data and continued sampling as various flow regimes occur.

3. Priority of need (1, 2. 3. 4., & 5):

4. Recommended approach to meeting need (include responsible entities):
Continue ongoing Yampa River studies as designed. Initiate similar
efforts at knoNn spawning sites elsewhere in the basin.

5. Funding level required:

6. Additional comments:

:5
