ACTIVITIES

MAIN COMMITTEE

The Arkansas-White-Red Basins Inter-Agency Committee met on two occasioDs during
the reporting year.

The 116th and 117th meetings consisted of one full day and one half day
sessions. Both meetings were scheduled and coordinated by the Administrative
Committee in coope~ation with the AWRBIAC member representing the host state.
The details of each meeting are recorded in the minutes which were prepared by
the Secretary and distributed to the members, participants, Congressmen, and
Senators of the AWRBIAC states, and other interested individuals. Prepared
papers, standing committee reports, 5-minute reports on current activities of
the state and federal agencies, and other pertinent documents were appended to
the minu tes.

ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE

The Administrative Committee met on two occasions during the reporting period.
The committee formulated the meeting agendas, selected meeting sites, reviewed
correspondence, and responded to other related AWRBIAC inquiries. Minutes of
the meetings were included as an appendix to the regular AWRBIAC minutes..

STANDING COMMITTEES

Exchange of Program Information Committee. In keeping with its overall func-
tional charge, the Exchange of Program IDformation Committee (EPIC) was active
in fiscal year 1986 considering and making recommendations to AWRBIAC on methods
of operation to imp~ove the exchange of program information between AWRBIAC mem-
bers. The committee met on two occasions and discussed ways that the EPIC could
be of service to the AWRBIAC. The Committee also formulated procedures for
updating the EPIC Report.

Environmental Resources Committee. The Environmental Resources Committee was
reorganized at the 116th meeting and given a new charge to review EPA ground
water rules and to review all environmental issues. At the 117th meeting the
committee met and considered the list of environmental issues and recommended a
charge to review questions on environmental concerns on reallocation of storage
supplies. This charge was approved by the AWRBIAC in conjunction with the
overall functional charge to the committee.
