The cost of construct ion is about the same but those drops in
the ditch take a lot of time because they are hand formed. Also they
create a potenti::JI .....eakness in the structure where cracking is apt to
occur.

There are also two methods being used to place the ports Idthin
the ditches. The first is to place those small metal gates on the
level and in the wet cement. 3S shown below.

of the gates and through the ditch bank.
