We are familiar with
all of the requirements fqr the design of safe earth dams.
Some of the earth and rockfill dams on which we have worked
are listed in Attachment t.. ~e principal participants
proposed for the review Pan~~ have all had mAny years of
experience in field explorations, laboratory investigations
for foundation and materi~~s engineering, geologic evaluations
and dam design analyses. ,The profess~onal and experience
records of the proposed tE!~_ll!8mbe~s are included in Attach-
ment II. Each of these pe~sons, have particular expertise.
gathered from their many yea~s of experience which will be
particularly valuable to ~he .~ucces8ful evaluation of proposed
Narrows Dam design.

Woodward-Clyde Consultants. organ~sed in 1950, is a multi-
disciplinary firm of consulting engineers, geOlogists,
hydrologists, and environmental scientists consisting of
five operating regions in the United States, an environmental
systems diviSion, and a wholly~owned subsidiary called
Woodward-Clyde Consultants--International. All types of st~q~es are included in wee services
including exploration, pl~nning,design, ann construction
observation, as well as research ,and development. The Denver
facility includes complete ~aboratory, office and library
facilitias oocupying lS,OQO square feet. The laboratory is
equipped to make virtually.all type~ of soil tests required
for a thorough engineering.analysis of soils for dams, founda-
tions, pavements, emban~nt~, ,a~qresearch projects. The
library contains over 6,OOQ enqineerinq and technical books
and other pUblications an4 includes files on about 19,OOO jobs
performed by the Denver o:t;fiqe.
