<br />The Missouri River Basin area is served.by two regions of the Bureau of Re-
<br />clamation, functions of which are irrigation and power generation.
<br />
<br />Region 6 covers the northern half of the Basin including Montana east
<br />of the Continental Divide, northern Wyoming in watersheds of Cheyenne
<br />and Powder Rivers, all of North Dakota and South Dakota, except for. the
<br />small portion lying in Niobrara River watershed. This Region also is
<br />responsible for all power system operations and planning in the Missouri
<br />Basin.
<br />
<br />Region 7 covers the southern half of the Missouri River Basin including
<br />the North Platte River Basin in Wyoming; the North Platte, South Platte,
<br />and Republican River watersheds in Colorado; the Republican and Kansas
<br />River watersheds in the notthernhalf of Kansas; and Nebraska.
