The total hours worked by self- <br />employed work~rs was at the highest Jevel during July, but for hired workers it was during October. <br /> <br />Wage ra~es were generally higher during the January and April survey periods. The average <br />wage rate for ~II hired workers, regardless of method of payor type of workers, was highest in <br />January at $5.7Q per hour. Workers paid on an hourly basis earned their highest wages during April <br />when the averaQe rate was $5.74 per hour.
