Stage A flows in the La Plata River would be increased minimally because ofretum flows of approximately 1,000 acre-feet per
year.
'Mean flow (diI), cxpreosed as average annual acre-feel (rounded) would be; 2',600 (historic USGS data),
37,600 (Phase l, Stage B~ 1',600 (Phase Il).
) Mean: Mean monthly discharge during period of record; Max: maximum daily mean discharge during period of record; Min: minimum
daily mean discl1arge during period of record.
Phase II - Operation

With the completion of Phase II, all lands would be able to receive irrigation water. All Project
lands would receive a pressurized supply of water sufficient to operate sprinkler systems with the
exception of Project lands above Dry Side Canal, which would be supplied Project water by
exchange. Delivery ofM&! water for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe could be at Ridges Basin
Reservoir or Southern Ute Reservoir. Under Phase II, delivery of Ute MOWltain Ute M&! water
would be atthe end of Dry Side Canal, near the eastern border of the Ute MOWltain Ute
Reservation. Delivery of all non-Indian M&! water would be the same as in Phase !,Stage B.

.

Historical flows in the La Plata River downstream from Dry Side Canal would be moderately
increased as a result of water released into the river from Dry Side Canal and Project return flows.
An average of 15,100 acre-feet would be released into the La Plata River from Dry Side Canal
each year to meet downstream Project demands and minimum bypass flows at the Southern Ute
Diversion Dam.

31
