Other landscaping is proposed for an estimated 26 acres. <br /> <br />for a total of 82 acres irrigated on tbe new golf course. Figure 2 shows <br /> <br />the layout of the golf course featurea. In addition. an estimated five <br /> <br />acres of irrigated landacaping is planned around public facilities and <br /> <br />roads. and an estimated 0.5 acres of lawns will be irrigated in <br /> <br /> <br />conjunction with employee housing, for a total of 87.5 acres of <br /> <br />irrigation. <br /> <br />Irrigation water requirements for turf grass were computed using the <br />modified Blaney-Criddle formula. Research by Blaney and Criddle published <br />in Soil Conservation Service Technical Release 21 revealed a close <br />relationship between climatic factors and evapotranspiration of water by <br />crops.
