This is the 47th annual report for the Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin Program Western Division
. System (System) power operations. For the purpose of this report, the System also includes the
Yellowtail Power Plant units I & 2 and the generating facilities of the Fryingpan-Arkansas
Project. The purpose of the report is to inform interested parties of the generation and pump .
energy requirements of the hydropower system. The report consists of two parts: One part
describes the actual generation and pumping operations for water year 1998.

An update on the System generation and pumping operations is included in the "Water Supply
and Utilization" report, which is issued monthly.
