<br /> <br />IV-I <br /> <br /> <br />".'i <br /> <br />ozn352 <br /> <br />'^. iii <br />Siiction IV SANITARY QUALITY STAXIONS <br /> <br />The type of sanitary quality stations listed on the subsequent paaes <br />are identified by the following code: <br /> <br />R = Radioactivity in water (suspended alpha, dissolved <br />alpha, total alpha, suspended beta, dissolved beta, <br />and total beta). <br /> <br />IC = Chemical, physical and bacteriological properties of <br />water (temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, biochemical <br />oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, chlorine demand, <br />ammonia nitrogen, chlorides, alkalinity, hardness, <br />color, turbidity, sulfates, phospHates, total dissolved <br />solids, and coliforms). <br /> <br />CF = Organic chemicals in water (alcohol extractables and <br />chloroform extractables). (Chloroform extractables <br />are further subdivided into ether insolubles,water <br />solubles, neutrals, weak acids, strong acids and loss). <br /> <br />PP - Plankton population of water (dominant species of <br />diatoms and percent of total diatoms,t'ung! and sheathed <br />bacteria, protozoa, genera and count level of rotifers, <br />genera and count level of crustacea, nematodes, and <br />other animal forms), <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />. <br />
