CHAUNCEY SANDBERG AND !,'ISHER HARRIS hold-ove:\".

CHAIRMAN, The next- Nevada- 1111 read the names
MR. BUE:HLER AND MR. SMITH.

...

MR, SMITH: Mr. Buehler just suggested to me, and I
thtnk the thought is worthy of. careful consideration on the part of
Nevada, that possibly a new director should be elected in order to give
a wider spread and interest thl'oughout the State, apart from the present
group, so it wouldn't he so insular as far as Ne'vada is concerned and
include someone who is interested in reclamation, and the organization,
and with that in mind, I would plead for a little more time so that the
Nevada delegation might get together and present the names of the
Directors a little later in the session, but before the meeting is over.

MR. BUEHLER; I concur in that move. There are many
in the State of Nevada who are deeply interested, and not here today,
t,nd I think if we appoint some new Directors who are interested that,
as far as I'm concerned. my efforts will be devoted to the work of this
Association just as strongly as if I was a Director. Ther.e are a great
number in the State who are interested, and I think before the session
is over, Mr.Shaver, Mr.Smith and myself will get together and'nominate
some ,rea I, livewi, res to serve in this Association as Directors.

MR. SMITH; I would like to add my affirmation to
what Mr. Buehler has just said, that regardless of the fact that we may
not be holding office in the Association, you can be assured that the
Nevada people who are here will continue to work for the welfare of the
Association in every way possible, in just the same manner as we have
in the past.

CHAIRMAN: With that imder consideration, with your
consent, we'll pass Nevada, and theylll bring in a report at the next
sitting.

.

Next weIll have ARIZONA. Arizona is not represented
today. MR,C.A. ANDERSON, of Coolidge, and VICTOR CORBELL,
will automatically hold over under the Constitution until they appoint a
successor.

Now CALIFORNIAu-Mr. Hewes and Mr. Raymond Mathew
you will confer now and report, or have conferred--will you report on
your Directors?

MR. ARLEDGE: We suggest Mr.' Hewes and Mr.Matthew.
They have agreed to continue to serve after the caucus.

-8-

tI
