Kansas <br /> <br />This station was con&tructed by the U. S. G. S. in 1951 and is operated <br /> <br />by them. It is well located and competently operated. Gage height ia broad- <br /> <br />caet each hour on a frequency of 2652 K. C. by means of a lihome-tailored" <br /> <br />radio transmitter operating on a 6 volt battery. To the reading obtained <br /> <br />from this station must be added the diversion of the Frontier Ditch to arrive <br /> <br />at total State Line river flow. These readings are also transmitted by radio <br /> <br />each hour on the sam03: frequency. <br /> <br />These combined Citations have been charting river flow since 19CO. <br /> <br />Some notce on the river station follow: 10.000 c. f. B. can be measured <br /> <br />at the station before overflow of the north primary river bank occurs; the <br /> <br />cableway clear span is t!09. 6 feet and required 311 feet of 1/8 inch Tramway <br /> <br />Type wire rope; the I A I frames are 25 feet high and were built with 6 inch <br /> <br />IHI beams welded; cost of the complete cableway wa::; $2,800.
