<br />\ <br />\ <br /> <br />0814 <br /> <br />FOREWORD <br /> <br />I, This study is part of a series of technical service support <br />subtasks conducted by Kaiser Engineers under contract to <br />TRW (TRW Subcontract No. J41026JJOS, Change Notice No. 01) <br />using Kaiser Engineers' work order 79020-500. Kaiser Engi- <br />neers' Task Plan for this study is described in our proposal <br />P81-109A, dated April 14, 1981, and as amended on May 1, 1981. <br /> <br />This task is part of the larger task 3.4, titled Systems Engi- <br />neering and Lease Planning/Analysis and Support. The task <br />forms a portion of the Naval Oil Shale Reserves Predevelopment <br />Program contracted by the Department of Energy's Resource Appli- <br />ca"tion Division in 1978 to TRW under Contract N00014-78-C-0617 <br />and later DE-ACOl-78RA32012, effective March 12, 1979. <br /> <br />Other subtasks and tasks performed by Kaiser Engineers for <br />TRW in support of this DOE contract include: <br /> <br />o Preliminary Analysis of Pipeline Corridor Alter- <br />natives for Naval Oil Shale Reserve No. 1 <br /> <br />o Preliminary Analysis of Surface Mining Options for <br />Naval Oil Shale Reserve No. 1 <br /> <br />o Spent Shale Disposal Analysis <br />
