Some of the Core Programs <br />are renewal of CVP water service <br />contracts, construction of the Shasta <br />Temperature Control Device. fish and <br />wildlife non-flow related habitat <br />restoration. and improvements to <br />Coleman National Fish Hatchery. <br />Multiple Implementation Programs <br />include the dedication ofCVP yield and <br />supplemental water acquisition to meet <br />fish and wildlife needs. including the <br />provision of Level 2 and 4 water <br />supplies to refuges, and implementation <br />of levels of tiered water pricing for CVP <br />water contracts. <br />Copies of the FPEIS are available for <br />public inspection and review at the <br />following locations: <br />. California. <br />ACTION: Notice of intent to amend land <br />use plan notice of availability of <br />environmental assessment. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: Pursuant to the authorities in <br />National Environmental Policy Act <br />(Public Law 91-190) and the Federal <br />Land Policy and Management Act <br />(Public Law 94-579), the D,S, Bureau of <br />Land Management's Alturas Field Office <br />is proposing to amend the Alturas <br />Resource Area Resource Management <br />Plan through the Nelson Corral <br />Reservoir Road and Delta Lake Road <br />Access RMP Amendment. <br />SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The <br />Nelson Corral Reservoir Road and the <br />Oelta Lake Road have been proposed for <br />seasonal restrictions/closures to <br />motorized vehicle access with limited <br />exceptions. The proposed restrictions/ <br />closures would be in effect from March <br />1st to May 30th of each year, These <br />dates would fluctuate depending on <br />weather and site conditions. <br />Alternati ves to the proposed closures <br />have been developed through public <br />scoping. meetings and coordination <br />with various county committees. The <br />proposal and alternatives have been <br />analyzed in the Nelson Corral Reservoir <br />Road and Oelta Lake Road Access RMP <br />Amendment Environmental Assessment <br />CA320-NEPA99-66.
