For that study WIRSOS

data files were developed which model the Little Snake Basin for the 1930-1982 period.

The model was calibrated and then used to evaluate the effects of the Sandstone Project

by examining flows at the basin mouth with and without the reservoir in place. Minor

modifications to the WIRSOS data files were necessary to model the subject water rights

projects for this study.

A general schematic diagram of the Little Snake River Basin as previously modeled

by WWC using WIRSOS is presented on Figure 3. This schematic shows the relative

locations of gaged inflows and outflows, ungaged inflow, intermediate streamflow gaging

stations, irrigation, municipal and industrial diversions, and Cheyenne's Stage I and II

transmountain diversions. The WIRSOS input data used by WWC for the Sandstone

Depletion Study are discussed below.

2.2.l WIRSOS Input Data
Input data used for the previous WIRSOS modeling of the p~e-Sandstone Reservoir

Little Snake Basin included virgin inflows and flows at intermediate locations in the study

10
